Sage welcomes our new director, Paula!
To continue the growth and care that Sage contributes to our local communities, we’re very excited to welcome our new director, Paula.
Our Growing Together Partnership which involves:
• SOAR Community
• Green City Action
• Sage Green Fingers
• Friends of Firth Park Community Allotments
• Oasis Flourish (Inc Grimesthorpe Community Allotments)
• Hope Community Allotments
We have come together, working across all four neighbourhoods in the north east, to engage a diverse range
of individuals and group, including those with mental health challenges, long-term conditions,
learning disabilities, families, refugees, older people, and socially isolated community members.
The partnership will connect local people to community gardens and green spaces, promoting
healthy eating and activity, and training in food growing. The partnership aims to build capacity in
community gardens, share resources, embed nature-based activities, and foster shared learning to
strengthen community connections and wellbeing.
Look our for events and activities soon.

We have become a provider for South Yorkshire’s Health and Growth Accelerator (HGA) programme – which aims to integrate employment and health interventions, ensuring people can stay in, or return to work while improving overall workforce wellbeing. We will be providing opportunities for members of our community to access eco-therapy and nature based activities to improve wellbeing, reduce anxiety and make those important social connections.
This programme is funded and supported by South Yorkshire ICB and South Yorkshire Community Foundation.
If you think your wellbeing would be improved and supported by a programme of nature led activities then please contact us, download our members application form (add HGA to the application form anywhere) and return to us at enquiries@sagesheffield.org.uk – and we will contact you. Or have a chat with your GP, GP nurse, Occupational Therapist or Community physiotherapist and they will be able to support your application to us.
Come Gardening – it’s a proven way to make you feel good.
At SAGE, we continue to support our members and volunteers to prescribe greenery, social and creative activities so they can leave each week feeling satisfied. We only encourage individuals to pursue the areas they are interested in, whilst trying out new experiences at their own pace. We’ve found a holistic approach to wellness via horticulture has improved the lives of our members and volunteers. Sometimes the best remedy is closer to us than we may think, we just need a little help finding it.

To continue the growth and care that Sage contributes to our local communities, we’re very excited to welcome our new director, Paula.
