Everyone’s welcome – you don’t need any musical knowledge or singing ability to join our group of supportive women! Singing together helps improve co-operation, reinforce friendships and share experiences together.
12:30pm to 2:00pm during term time and pre-arranged times in the holidays.
Gives you the opportunity to meet new people and widen your social circle.
We offer one to one support from our trained staff and volunteers. This is a safe space to express yourself.
Singing, especially in a group, releases endorphins and serotonin - the hormones that make you happy!
Leave feeling proud of your performance, whatever your musical knowledge may be.
We begin our choir session with group-building activities. After this, we move onto singing warm-ups, including physical relaxation, breathing and gentle vocal exercises.
Once you're all feeling comfortable after this, we learn simple songs in parts. We encourage sharing and discussion, so that people get the chance to contribute to the group.
Our tea and coffee break also gives members the opportunity to have a chat and get to know each other better.
Performances: Those women who feel confident to do so, have the opportunity to give occasional public performances. Singing Through the Seasons is invited to sing at fundraisers and local events to help publicise SAGE’s work and show off your skills.
Cost: We suggest a contribution of £2 per person per session.
Accessibility: Our venue is wheel chair accessible and we welcome everyone!
We would love to speak with you. Feel free to reach out using the below details.
