PMHCP (Primary Mental Health Care Project)

PMHCP is another mental health care specialist service operating from the surgery.  Their small team provide 1-to-1 and small group support to vulnerable adults living alone or in supported housing in the community.  This includes running a drop-in knitting group, a creative writing group, supporting engagement with healthy walks, keep fit classes, volunteering opportunities etc.  Our partnership consists of:

  • Val, one of their team, is seconded to our horticultural therapy work once a week.  She helps support new referrals into the project and the progression of members to further activities in the community.
  • The PMHCP manager, Alison Frost, helped set up SAGE and is now our Chair.
