Cycle for SAGE

Cycle for SAGE, aka Tour de Toilette!

Our intrepid fabulous volunteers Beth and Rachel are embarking on a fundraising cycle for SAGE. The adventurous duo are departing on their bikes from London in mid-April and will then cycle to Newhaven where they will catch the ferry over to Dieppe. They will then cycle, over several weeks, to Nice and plan to return to England by the end of June. The money they raise will be going towards a compost toilet for our main site. Many of our members really struggle to walk the 100 metres to the toilet on the allotment site we run our project from, so having a toilet on our project site will be a great addition and make SAGE more accessible for people with mobility problems. As part of their journey Beth and Rachel will be visiting other garden projects in France and doing a 'tour de toilette' to research the facilities at other projects! They will be doing a blog along the way to keep us up to date on their progress. The April edition of the Burngreave Messenger will also a feature about Beth and Rachel's tour.

If you would like to make a donation to help Beth and Rachel to raise the 1,000 needed for a compost toilet for SAGE please visit their donation site by following this link:, or click on SAGE's donation link and look under SAGE's profile.
